At Great Point Studios, our core values are the foundation upon which we build every square foot of our space, every aspect of our services, and every interaction with our clients and dedicated employees.
Diversity and Inclusion. We are steadfast in our commitment to fostering a safe, equitable, and inclusive environment. Every individual within our studios is valued, respected, and treated with the utmost dignity. We’re not just a studio; we are a community where diversity thrives, and inclusion is not an initiative but a culture.
Integrity and Respect. Our interactions are grounded in integrity, marked by transparency, and enriched by mutual respect. Each member of our team embodies honesty and truthfulness in every dealing, never engaging in misrepresentation, overstatement, partial truths, or selective omissions. We’re committed to an ethos where clarity and honesty are not just valued but are intrinsic to our identity.
Excellence and Innovation. Quality and innovation are not just aspirations but attributes ingrained in our operational ethos. Every service, facility, and engagement is a testament to our unwavering pursuit of excellence and our commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation.
In unison, these core values form the fabric of Great Point Studios, a sanctuary where creativity, integrity, and community thrive together to create a place where stories come to life.
Sustainability isn’t just an initiative at Great Point Studios – it’s an integral part of our identity. Our goal is to become a carbon neutral, zero waste company and we’re steadfast in our commitment to nurturing an environment that respects and cherishes our planet.
Every one of our facilities epitomizes the unification of innovation and environmental stewardship. We’re not just reducing our carbon footprint; we’re taking real-world steps that make a difference.
With 2.4 megawatts of solar power illuminating our spaces, every frame captured, and every scene depicted is touched by the power of natural energy. But our embrace of solar power isn’t just about harnessing energy; it’s about crafting spaces where natural light and architectural genius coexist. Our acre of rooftop green space is not just a feature but a sanctuary where nature and creativity commune. It’s complemented by a sustainable garden that not only embellishes our rooftop but feeds our community, with produce finding its way to our commissaries.
At Great Point Studios, ‘green and sustainable’ isn’t just a section on our website; it’s a lived experience, a conscious choice, and an unwavering commitment to ensuring that every story we help bring to life is cradled in a space that honors, respects, and nurtures our environment.
Great Point Studios is not just a home for today’s filmmakers but a nurturing ground for tomorrow’s media pioneers. Our commitment to giving back is evident in a multitude of programs we’ve created across all of our facilities. Starting in Spring 2022, Great Point Studios began a collaboration with The Newhouse School at Syracuse University. Select juniors and seniors participate in specially designed courses at the Lionsgate Studio campus in Yonkers, NY. There, Newhouse has 10,000 sq. ft. of space, serving both educational and practical filming needs. Class lectures and seminars are conducted by our top team members and industry veterans. In addition, we’ve combined in-class learning with a robust internship program, pairing students with clients’ projects for an incomparable, one-of-a-kind hands-on experience.
Our commitment to nurturing talent and fostering innovation extends beyond Syracuse University. Across our global studios, we actively partner with local institutions like the University of West Georgia, NYU, the Yonkers public school systems, and the University of Southern Wales. These partnerships punctuate our ethos of mentorship, putting into place internship programs and specialized workshops.
Across the Atlantic, our UK affiliate, Great Point Media, mirrors this educational zeal. Celebrated for pioneering the “first-time filmmaker” program alongside the British Film Institute and the BBC, they provided grants to six first-time filmmakers. Impressively, most of these films achieved industry praise, and one film, “Lady Macbeth”, was an overwhelming success, both critically and financially.
At Great Point Studios, we don’t just create content; we nurture the next wave of creators, blending education with inspiration, in a space where tomorrow’s visual storytelling legends take flight.
